Researcher Rewards (30% — 300M THREAT)
The researcher rewards pool is not minted at launch. Tokens are created on-demand when security researchers submit verified threat intelligence to the ThreatChain registry. This ensures tokens only enter circulation when real value (threat data) is contributed.

The researcher pool is hard-capped at 300,000,000 THREAT. No additional tokens can be minted beyond this cap under any circumstances.
Deflationary Mechanism
2% of all premium API query fees paid in THREAT tokens are permanently burned via the burnFromFees() function. This reduces total supply over time as platform usage increases. Burn events are recorded on-chain and publicly verifiable.
Validator Staking
Security researchers stake 10,000 THREAT to become validators. Validators review community-submitted threats and earn 2 THREAT per verification. Validators who approve fraudulent submissions are slashed — their staked tokens are burned. The minimum stake requirement ensures validators have economic alignment with data quality.
